Raiha Street Commercial Development
The site on Raiha street was a historic wreckers yard and landfill, which required extensive ground testing to de-risk the area for future commercial development. RDCL completed multiple testing and surveys across several years developing the site, including geotechnical sampling, drilling and geophysics.
RDCL delivered geotechnical ground models, batter slope designs, earthworks and pile designs throughout the development plan. Combining geophysics surveying with geotechnical design enabled better understanding of the site conditions, which lead to appropriate and cost-effective foundation plans for multiple structures on site.
RDCL’s broad range of skilled engineers and geologists combined with our in-house geophysics allowed a more robust offering to the client. This meant the ground risk on site was better understood and more appropriate designs were put forward as solutions.
