Construction Verification
Ground improvement is often required for construction projects which might include such things as removing non-suitable material and placement of engineered fill, piles or stabilisation. This process requires engineering inspections and construction records to document the process, to meet building standards and local government requirements.
Construction verification is determined by the geotechnical design and building/construction codes. Inspections of the removal and placement of material might include:
- Confirmation of topsoil strip removal of organics
- Placement of engineered fill
- Compaction verification with NDM and Clegg Hammer
- Placement of geo-grid or other composite fabrics
